Once upon a time, between 2010 and 2011, I was in a band.

What a wacky weekend! Spooky Tree took on the Yardfest scene, and we took it on in full fashion. Roman warrior hats, my makeshift toga, a quiver of arrows, Megan’s orange dress, and a raptor cap.
It was great to play with a full band – uke, Blue Lagoon, Getty Lee, the keys, the bari sax, drums, tambourine, and trumpet. We were high energy and played a solid set: Chick Habit, Kati, Long Cool Woman, Raptor Band, I’m on Fire, Down in the Hole, Tokyo, and Zombie Apocalypse.

It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for the stage. What I lack in musical talent, I have always made up for in spunk and pep. Spooky Tree made for a wild, one-year ride in musical performance, and it helped me gain some very needed confidence during a trying time in my life.
Music is a constant for me. What helps lift your spirits when the going gets tough??
