After three months, I have emerged from my cave. Said cave was a byproduct of my battle against a severe bout of iron deficiency anemia, which isn’t fun at all. But in truth, it provided a pleasant cave. A necessary cave. A cave filled with reading for pleasure, connecting by letter, exploring a new profession, and digging into the true meaning of being a doggy mama.
My return to Perched on a Whim brings with it an emphasis on the visual, inviting my dear love for photography to take the occasional center stage. Fall was filled with being poked and prodded by various medical professionals, as well as making some new friends.
In September, I began working at a cheesecake bakery, which specializes in minis.
I’m right pleased with how the year is rounding out, and there is much to anticipate. For one, decorating gingerbread houses.
And my favorite of all: Lola’s first winter! This little lady digs the snow.
It’s good to be back. You’ll be seeing me soon!
